Note that this is the 2017 release of the Springbank Hazelburn Sherrywood 13 YO. It was distilled in October 2003 and bottled in March 2017. Matured in a mix of fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks, and finally bottled in a limited batch of 12 000 bottles.

On Thursday November 15 the Springbank Hazelburn Sherrywood 13 YO came on sale in Norway at NOK 1315 (10565001).

Nose: The faintest hint of farmyard in the distance. Orchard fruits up front, with some added caramel and nutmeg. Hints of nuts.

Taste: Rich and full-bodied. Sweet and spicy. Berries og various types; rowan berries low on bitterness.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Fruity with an edge. Not quite bitter, but .. hmm .. zesty.

Comments: As always a treat.
