Agitator Blended Whisky

Agitator Blended Whisky, NAS, 40%

The Agitator Blended Whisky recently changed name to Agitator The Swedish Blend. That is, I believe it is the same product, as the product page features pictures of bottles with both names. THere is no official explanation to this, as far as I can see.

Here is what they say about the make up of this blend:

“We have blended malt whisky matured on casks of new American oak, chestnut casks and casks that previously held sherry and bourbon, with grain whisky matured on bourbon casks and casks of new American oak.”

The is available in Norway at NOK 500 (15395301), and in Sweden at SEK 299 (40501).

Nose: Young-ish with inviting notes of banana, black pepper, and orchard fruits. Complemented by caramel fudge and vanilla ice cream, creating a straightforward, high-quality blend aroma.

Taste: Light-bodied, continuing with banana notes alongside very mild hints of caramel and vanilla. The spiciness from the nose is notably absent, leading to a smooth profile.

Finish: Fairly short, offering a mild and controlled landing. There is minimal further development, maintaining its straightforward character.

Comment: Solid and uncomplicated.
