Amrut 2009 4 YO Single Cask #3447, 60 %

A single cask release from Amrut Distillery. Distilled JUne 2009, matured in a single ex-bourbon cask (cask #3447), and bottled September 2013. Limited to 169 bottles.

Nose: Shy on first sniff. Sun-kissed oak and rich honey. Strawberries and ripe, red apples.

Taste: Full bodied with a typical ex-bourbon profile; tropical fruits - including coconut and pineapple, vanilla and mild spices.

Finish: Medium long finish. More of the same - but the spiciness is tuned up and the fruitiness tuned down. Drier i character now. Artificial sweetener on the finish.

Comment: OK-ish.
