So, this rum has been, at least partially, matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

The Angostura Cask Collection No 1 Oloroso sherry cask will be available in Norway starting tomorrow, at NOK 900 (11061001).

Nose: Reminds me very much of a sweet Speyside matured in ex-Oloroso. with the added sugary sweetness. Lots of caramel. Not very complex on the nose.

Taste: Medium to skinny body. Quite sweet, but not overpoweringly so. Again mainly dried fruits, caramel and simple syrup.

Finish: Relatively short finish. No further development.

Comment: OK, then. Next.
