This is a limited release for The Ardbeg Committee, so available to members only. It has been matured in ex-sherry casks. The Ardbeg 8 YO - For Discussion was bottled 2021-03-17.

Nose: Dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, toasted oak and rich wood smoke. Peaty and softly medicinal. With time leather polish, and slightly burnt marshmallows.

Taste: Full bodied and rather laid back. Sure it is quite peaty, smoky and spicy, but in a “friendly giant” sort of way. Dry-ish. Peppery-ish.

Finish: Medium long finish. Not a whole lot of development. Spicy, peaty, smoky and mildly floral.

Comment: A cuddly Ardbeg. Comes across as rather mild.
