An independent bottling of Ardmore, matured in a combination of 70 % ex-Marsala casks and 30 % ex-bourbon casks. This release is brought to us by independent bottler Cadenhead.

Nose: Chocolate and flakes of sea salt. Fluffy clouds of rich wood smoke. With time more chocolate as well as icing sugar and candy floss. Darker chocolate notes then follow - chocolate mousse in fact - served with passion fruit.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. Rich wood smoke. Salty chocolate and exotic fruits. A touch of toasted oak as well. The palate does match the nose very closely.

Finish: Medium long finish. Drier now and also more sugary sweet. Chocolate mousse again and notes of tropical fruit. Smoke flavored pencil shavings.

Comment: A darn fine Ardmore.
