This is a single cask release exclusively for the Norwegian importer of Arran, a certain Mr Jon Bertelsen. It has been matured in a bourbon hogshead (cask #818). It was distilled on 1997-05-23 and bottled on 2018-09-05. The total outturn was 214 bottles.

This whisky was also listed on the special release back in November 2018 - it is the same product.

You can buy the in Norway starting June 4 at NOK 1695 (1752801). It is not available anywhere else.

Nose: Quite restrained on the nose. This is a dram that wants to play hard to get it seems. Not very fruity at first. Hints of perfume and tropical fruits. With time it opens up with more fruits and sweetness, and it presents itself as a true Arran.

Taste: Rich and fullbodied. Whte pepper, dry red apples and ginger. Cinnamon and hints of nuts. Slightly fizzy in character.

Finish: Long finish. Caramel and baked apples. A touch of ginger and tropical fruits. Toasted oak and vanilla.

Comment: A delightful Arran.

Score 89/100
