Nose: The aroma is like a magical potion, striking a perfect balance in its complexity. It begins with a symphony of ripe orchard fruits and dried fruits, then introduces the rich scents of worn leather and cigar box. Then mystical notes of incense, toasted oak, a dusty attic, and old books. This is all rounded off with creamy luxury confectionary.

Taste: On the palate, the whisky is full-bodied and mirrors the complexity found on the nose. Sweetness of dried fruits and the subtle astringency of mild oakiness. The spicy warmth of white pepper and ginger balanced with the dry and subtly sweet notes of aniseed. A decadent touch of dark chocolate with rich jam filling. The faintest hint of peat in the background.

Finish: The finish is exceptionally long. It manages to be delicate, juicy, and fresh, while simultaneously being complex and demanding.
