Clynelish 1982 27 YO The Perfect Dram, 55,1 %
The second bottling we have today from the independent bottler The Perfect Dram. It has been matured in a bourbon hogshead. It was bottled in 2010 with a total outturn was 256 bottles.
Nose (23/25): Very nice! Smooth and delicate, fruity (apples) and mild waxiness. Vanilla delight!
Taste (21/25): Super smooth. Waxy apples, oily, creamy, rich and full. Sweet with caramel swirls.
Finish (23/25): Soft sweetness, long finish, warm. Smooth. Honey and caramel with mild fruit flavors coat the palate. very nice finish.
Balance (22/25): A very nice dram. Close to a 24 on the nose, it was that good - but it does miss that little extra on the taste, which it then certainly finds again on the finish!
Score (89/100)
