Another independent bottling from Murray McDavid. Distilled 2009, initially matured in bourbon hogsheads, and then finished in 1st fill ex-Sauternes casks (cask# 1911908/93/94/95). This release is limited to 1357 bottles.

The Dailuaine 2009 12 YO Benchmark goes on sale in Norway tomorrow at NOK 1190 (13560001).

Nose: Fruity with some astringency to it. Softly bitter. Some citrus. Vanilla. Bigger by the minute. Hints of sulphur but in a good way.

Taste: Full bodied. Apples and ginger. Fizzy in style. Almost sparkly.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Sweeter now. Cotton candy sprinkled with citrus droplets. Very nice landing.

Comment: Ooh, this is very charming.
