Nose: Oh, oh! Sulphur alarm. This is a bit too funky. Sulphur, rubber tires, bicycle repair kit. In the background I detect dried fruits, caramel and some oakiness.

Taste: Rich, sugary and dry in character. Caramel and dried fruits, but again the funkiness takes central stage.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Soft spices as well as cut grass and herbs. Remains dry throughout. The funkiness subsides in the end.

Comment: To me this whisky is too sulphury for me to really appreciate it. I recognize there is plenty of quality here, but the sulphur sadly dominates.

Score 76/100
