Glenmorangie The DuthacI am reviewing the three Travel Retail products in the Glenmorangie Legends series. The series consists of The Tarlogan, The Tayne and The Duthac.

The only official information I have found on the Glenmorangie The Duthac is that it is part finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and virgin oak casks. The name is taken from St Duthac, who lived in the area where the distillery stands during the Middle Ages.

You can buy a 1 litre bottle of the Glenmorangie The Duthac at around GBP 80.

Nose: Rich, deep and sweet. Dried fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg and cool herbs. Marzipan and almond paste with time.

Taste: Medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate and coffee. White pepper and vanilla.

Finish: Medium long. Orange marmalade, toasted oak, vanilla, milk chocolate, cream pastry and marzipan.

Comments: Richer and sweeter than The Tarlogan.

Score (83/100)
