Here is the third release in the Harbour Series from Swedish distillery High Coast. The High Coast Harbour Collection 03 Lunde consists of 97.2% unpeated whisky matured in ex-Islay casks and ex-bourbon casks, and 2.8% peated whisky matured in ex-Islay casks.

The High Coast Harbour Collection 03 Lunde was available at SEK 799 (4141202), but is now sold out.

Nose: Sweet tinned pears under a delicate veil of wood smoke. As time passes, the fruitiness remains fresh and becomes more multi-faceted, complemented by creamy vanilla and custard.

Taste: Full-bodied and surprisingly rich in flavor. Creamy and luscious, featuring orchard fruits bathed in succulent honey, with a subtle hint of white pepper in the background.

Finish: Medium-long, with more white pepper joined by black pepper and nutmeg. The style is dryish, becoming less fruity and sweet towards the finish line. Ends with a hint of minty chewing gum.

Comment: I quite enjoyed this.
