Limited to 1500 bottles, this is the second batch of the High Coast Solera whisky. The High Coast distillery in Sweden uses a mix of ex-bourbon barrels and Swedish oak casks in their Solera system. This whisky was launched for sale on 2021-08-31.

Nose: Sherry nose done the right way for sure. Dried fruits with a warming spiciness. Dried apples, dried tropical fruits, raisins and red berries. White pepper, black pepper, earthy cinnamon and hints of green herbs. Quite complex.
Taste: Full bodied, and a bear hug of a whisky. Rather spicy upfront, just like Batch 01. Assorted spices and fruits - fresh and dry. Some honey as well as juicy marzipan.
Finish: Medium long finish. Dry-ish now. Chocolate is now added to the mix, as well as red berries. Hints of oak. As well as everything that first appeared on the palate. This palate is also rather complex.
Comment: Great dram!
