Whisky Saga presents the ultimate whiskey guide to Dublin. Our good friend Lydia Moore, Junior Brand Manager & Jameson Whiskey Ambassador, has put together this list for you. She currently lives and works in Oslo, but she is Irish to the core.

Bars and pubs

All the below are authentic Irish Pubs with great whiskey selections and full of Irish Atmosphere.

The Long Hall

One of the oldest pubs dating back to the 1860’s. real old-style Irish Pub with a large selection of Whiskeys and Beers.

L Mulligan Grocer

Specializing in whiskey, food and beer. With a seasonal menu and match a whiskey to your dessert of choice. Also have a whiskey and specialty spirits store in Dublin.

Searsons

Have a collaboration with The Midleton Distillery and house a 28 year old Midleton Very Rare. Carefully selected by father and son Charlie & Bill Chawke, alongside Midleton Master Distiller Brian Nation, this truly is one of the rarest single cask whiskeys the world has ever seen.The cask itself was bonded on the 4th of July 1990, comprising of 168 bottles which this collection is made up of.

Stags Head

Historic pub, great traditional food, whiskey selection and stand-up comedy.

The Norseman

Dates back to 1696 have a serious whiskey selection and a large whiskey bible! Also good food.

The Dingle Whiskey Bar

Over 150 whiskeys from around the world. Whiskey classes and tastings.

Large Irish Whiskey selection. Great rustic food menu and Sunday Irish Roast!

Kehoe’s

Tradional Bar of the year award 2017 & 2018. Very Traditional Irish. Great Irish whiskey selection.

Brazen Head

Dates back to 1198. Large Traditional Irish food menu. A must when visiting Dublin.

Murray’s

Traditional Irish Pub and Trad music bar.

Against The Grain

More of a modern bar. Good whiskey selection, craft beer and food.

O’Donoghues

Famous for their Irish music sessions. The Dubliners and Christy Moore have played here in the past. Great traditional bar and a variety of Irish whiskeys.

The Liquor Rooms

Cool underground bar. Large selection of whiskeys and offer Irish Whiskey tastings. Discussing origin, history and distillation. Food can also be added to the tasting.

 The Temple Bar

One of Irelands largest whiskey collections. Live music. Known for their Oysters, good atmosphere and very busy with tourists in Dublin.

Jameson Distillery Bow Street

Experiences include Whiskey Blending Class, Whiskey cocktail making class, Whiskey tastings and Cask Draw experience.

Irish Whiskey Museum Experience

Whiskey & Brunch experience. Tours, tasting and blending sessions.

Teeling Distillery

Various tours and tasting options. Fill you own bottle is also an option. Located in The Liberties.

Pearse Lyons Distillery

Beautiful location in the 800 year old St. James’ Church, also in The Liberties area of Dublin. Offers tours and tastings.

Dublin Liberties Distillery

Offering tours and tastings. Yet another young distillery located in The Liberties area of Dublin.
