Kyrö Single Malt Rye Pre-release No. 8, 3 YO, 47.2 %

This bottling from Finnish producers Kyrö Distilling Company is composed of rye whisky distilled in April 2016, as well as some from 2014 and 2015. It was bottled 2019-08-17.

Nose: Vanilla and light fruitiness. Honey, white pepper, rye bread, maple syrup, toasted oak. Dark caramel notes with time.

Taste: Medium body. Raw-ish at first. Peppery honey again. Creamy vanilla. More pepper, and ripe apples.

Finish: Medium long finish. Honey glazed vanilla ice-cream. Cotton candy with maple syrup flavor.

Comment: Viva la rye-volution of Finland.
