Four Laphroaigs with Vicky Stevens

I had a really good time during a Laphroaig-tasting with Visitor Centre Manager Vicky Stevens at Laphroaig in January 2014 (Whisky-Meet in Bergen). I tasted four Laphroaigs this evening.

It was incredible to get the chance talk to Vicky Stevens in such a small gathering (only seven attendants in total). We tasted Laphroaig 10 YO, Laphroaig 18 YO, Laphroaig Quarter Cask and Laphroaig Triple Wood.

Since I had tasted all of them before, I chose to not give new scores but only rank them. I was happy to discover that the ranking was consistent with my earlier scores. This was somewhat an achievement for me who still consider myself a "newbie" when it comes to whisky ;-)

The ranking was like this: 1. Laphroaig Quarter Cask 48 % (earlier score 91) 2. Laphroaig 10 YO 40 % (earlier score 89) 3. Laphroaig 18 YO 48 % (earlier score 86) 4. Laphroaig Triple Wood 48 % (earlier score 80 - I would probably had given this one a higher score this day)
