Nose: Warm malty notes mixed with pepper, cinnamon, ginger and warm sand. Baked apples.
Taste: Medium body, with a slight roughness to it. Not all that sweet. Light oakiness and mixed spices. The fruitiness is there, but way in the back.
Finish: Medium long finish. The fruits are gradually coming to the fore, but they never dominate. Apples again. Dry-ish in character.
Comment: Really enjoy the nose once it’s had a breather. The palate is more ordinary.
