This is a single cask release exclusive to Norway. An 11 year old heavily peated whisky from Springbank. The Longrow 2007 11 YO Single Cask was distilled in November 2007, matured in a re-charred sherry butt, and the bottled in September 2019. The total outturn is 390 bottles - all for Norway!

Nose: Lovely notes of vanilla, nuts, dried fruits and wood smoke. Relatively low key on the peat side for a Longrow, but pleasantly so. The farmyard notes are well hidden for now. Very well integrated, you can bury your nose in this one and still have your sense of smell very much intact.

Taste: Rich and full bodied. If the nose held back a bit on the peat side it is full tilt on the palate. It fires on all engines. Dirty, peppery and peaty smoke! Beneath this I find a rich fruitiness, some dried some ripe and juicy. Vanilla and assorted nuts.

Finish: Medium long finish. Vanilla and oak. Remains quite peaty. Dry in character now. Dried fruits and red berries in the back.

Comment: A wonderful dram for long and cold winter nights.
