Half of the Nikka Discovery series released in 2021. The other half of the series was the Nikka Miyagikyo Peated (see review).

The Nikka Yoichi Discovery Non-Peated is still available in Norway at NOK 2200 (15152201).

Nose: So rich, deep and fruity. Ripe apple, pear, banana and dried apricot.

Taste: Vibrant, fresh and full bodied. Malty with - again - very rich fruity notes. It is deep and dark. Borderline dirty.

Finish: Medium long finish. It remains super fruity, vibrant and lively. Earthy and creamy notes of vanilla, marzipan and cinnamon. Fizzy ginger. Then – on the finish line – an oaky dryness.

Comment: Exciting stuff.
