Batch information: 2017 Harvest #007. Made from a combination of 8 American oak casks (casks #23-24, 37, 39-41, 55 and 59) and one ex-Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal cask (cask #295). Three of the American oak casks were heavy char, and the rest Grade 1 char. The liquid in all the American oak casks were between 3 years 10 months and 3 years 4 months. The liquid in the ex-Mosacatel cask was matured for a little over 1 year in this cask, after an initially maturation for 2 years in a heavy char American oak cask.

Nose: A light, refreshing and sugary sweet invitation with a tropical twist. Rustic rye spiciness, with creamy vanilla providing a soft, velvety undertone. Ripe, red apples add a crisp, orchard-fresh nuance. Almond milk rounds off the aromatic profile with a nutty, creamy sweetness.

Taste: A full-bodied and rich tapestry of flavors. Pepper and sweet fruit take center stage. The fruits unfold as a medley of ripe, red apples and tropical extravagance, with pineapple and watermelon offering a juicy, refreshing counterpoint to the spiciness.

Finish: A medium-long finish, maintaining a light, fresh and fruity character throughout. The creaminess resurfaces, now accompanied by the comforting sweetness of vanilla and the richness of milk chocolate. Hints of fresh herbs and cut grass make a delicate, earthy finale.

Comment: A tropical tapestry with a peppery pulse.
