I will probably never get tired of reviewing Redbreast 12 Cask Strength. Time now for the Redbreast 12 YO Cask Strength (B1/20), bottled 2020-07-21.

This single pot still Irish whiskey has been matured in a combination of Bourbon seasoned American Oak barrels and Oloroso Sherry seasoned Spanish oak butts.

This batch will go on sale in Norway in May 2021 at NOK 699 (12313201). Meanwhile you can find it online at around GBP 90.

Nose: Strawberries and vanilla. Rich malt. Fruity - creamy and sweet notes of apples and coconut. With time the welcome notes of warm butterscotch with a sprinkling of earthy cinnamon. Rich and luxurious vanilla. Tropical fruits! This is yummy!

Taste: Full bodied, sweet, and robust. Strawberry vanilla love. Almost chewy in character - very rich. Apple, pineapple, honey dew melon and coconut, all cut in fine pieces and drizzled with simple syrup. White pepper and cinnamon.

Finish: Medium long finish. Creamy vanilla as well as an assortment of sweet, tropical fruits and wild berries. Hints of mint in the end.

Comment: Delightful! Delectable!
