This is a single cask release bottled exclusively for Norway. The Smögen 2012-P62 Darachas utvalde no 4 was distilled 2012-06-13, matured for the full period in a 45 litre PX cask (2012-P62) and bottled 2018-08-02. The total outturn was 76 bottles of 50 cl size.

Nose: My nose is greeted with a very rich and deep sweetness. A pine forest on fire and then soaked in a rain of sherry and honey. Hints of sea salt. A touch oaky in character.

Taste: Full bodied, rich and quite green on the palate. Mint and menthol. Deep, earthy wood smoke. Dried fruits.

Finish: Medium long finish. More green grass than herbs now. It feels less peaty on the finish, more fruity and fresh.

Comments: Solid quality as always from Smögen.
