This is an independent bottling of Smögen whisky, from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The Smögen Batch 1 (TBWC) was released in 2018, and limited to 117 bottles (50 cl).

Nose: Caramel, wood smoke. Creamy vanilla. Earthy licorice. White pepper and mustard seed. Soft and delicate oakiness with time. Almond paste, marzipan and more peaty smoke with time.

Taste: Medium body. Creamy vanilla with mild smokiness. Caramel sauce. Dirty sugar cubes.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Pine wood on fire. Orchard fruits. Grilled pineapple. Caramel and vanilla.

Comment: Unusually tame for a Smögen, but still a fairly good dram.
