This Talisker 15 YO (Special Releases 2019) was matured in charred American oak hogsheads. That’s all I know. The release was limited to 42222 bottles.

Nose: Warm notes of pepper, toasted oak and creamy vanilla. Strawberries and hints of grapefruit. With time dark chocolate, white pepper and some earthy peatiness.

Taste: Full of body and attitude. Tons of pepper - not overwhelmingly so - but there’s a whole lot of different peppery notes here. A pepper symphony. Peppery oakiness as well, and peppery peat.

Finish: Medium to long finish. A bit more dry now. Some fruitiness penetrating the layers of juicy pepper. Softly bitter, herbal and astringent in the end.

Comment: Very peppery Talisker. I approve!
