This is a sourced whiskey and the distillery is undisclosed. The company behind the product itself though is The Dublin Liberties Distillery. Matured in refill ex-bourbon casks and then finished in virgin American oak barrels. Well actually, on the front label it says “virgin American oak finished” and on the back label it says “Finished in small, hand-crafted, first-fill American oak barrels”. So, which is it? First fill barrels or virgin oak barrels? Hmm.

The Dead Rabbit Whiskey is available at NOK 580 (13449501).

Nose: Creamy vanilla and almond milk. Almonds and unsalted peanuts. Warm and pleasant.

Taste: Medium body. White pepper and milk chocolate. Hints of cinnamon and nuts.

Finish: Short to medium finish. A base of white pepper with top notes of light tropical fruits.

Comment: A welcome experience.
