I’m slowly getting closer to more recent releases in the A’bunadh Series now. This Batch #62 was released in 2018.

Nose: Rich sherry notes mix with aromas of tobacco and worn leather. Cinnamon, mixed nuts and vanilla. With time I also pick up notes of mustard seeds and tomato plant - and these are “floral notes” (or vegetal notes) that I enjoy quite a lot. They are soo much better than perfume-like flowery notes.

Taste: Full bodied and rich in every which way. There’s a lot of sweetness here - sugar, caramel, vanilla. And lots of fruitiness - sweet raisins, rich plums, vintage sherry.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Remains sweet and fruity till the finish line. Perhaps a bit more nutty towards the end, and soft, green notes of cut grass and mixed herbs.

Comment: Reminds me of early A’bunadh batches (pre teens).
