The Aberlour A’bunadh Batch #66 was released in 2019 and is still available to buy in Norway at NOK 828 (4893801).

Nose: Cool, and mild on the sherry influence for an A'bunadh. A touch oaky and I also detect a side note of mild sourness as well as a touch of sulphur.

Taste: Rich and a bit rough. It does feel young and not fully matured. Black and white pepper, dried fruits, nuts and burnt caramel.

Finish: Medium long finish. Sugary sweet now, very sweet. Vanilla, (burnt) caramel sauce and unsalted peanuts. A hint of mint in the end.

Comment: This is like a grunge band’s first release, they’re all raw energy and enthusiasm, but they do not really master their instruments yet and they are not a cohesive unit. Charming though, very charming!
