The Ardbeg Anthology 13 YO The Harpy’s Tale goes on sale in Norway on November 24 at NOK 1600 (16583101).

Nose: The nose starts off a bit reserved, gently unveiling sweet peat and subtle wine-like notes. As it opens up, more complex aromas come to the fore, including smoked meat, orchard fruits, and mild caramel, all complemented by a whiff of citrus.

Taste: Medium body. Starts off with ashes, peat, and pepper. Then the sweetness of green fruit and citrus, with the wine-like notes reappearing.

Finish: The finish is medium-long and tends to dry out slightly over time. It leaves a persistent impression of ashes, pepper, and green fruit on the palate. The overall peatiness is of medium intensity, seemingly mellowed by the influence of the Sauternes casks

Comment: Not super-exciting.
