Another release from independent bottler Champagne Dumangin J. Fils. This whisky was distilled October 2009, and bottled April 2021. It has received a 24 month finish in a Ratafia Champenois cask (cask #T-055). The total outturn was 281 bottles. The bottle neck is labeled “batch 012”.

The Ardmore 2009 11 YO Ratafia Champenois cask goes on sale in Norway this coming Monday at NOK 1341 (13802901).

Nose: Rich caramel notes, and hints of smoke. Toasted oak. Dark chocolate.

Taste: Medium body. Starts off much like the nose, then the weird, green vegetal weirdness.

Finish: Medium long. No further development. Sadly.

Comment: Again no idea what to make of this, just like with the other release from Dumangin J. FIls I recently reviewed (see review).
