The Bowmore 25 YO has been matured in a mix of American oak bourbon casks and Spanish oak sherry casks.

A few bottles of the Bowmore 25 YO go on sale in Norway tomorrow at NOK 3128 (5266501). You can also buy it in Sweden at SEK 2999 (8284801) and in the UK at around GBP 325.

Nose: Floral chewing gum. Dried fruits in the background, rather salty. Not a whole lot of peat on the nose really. With time it turns greener, cut grass and more floral -> lavender and hints of violets.

Taste: Full bodied and creamy in character. A lot of salt and pepper, as well as peppery soot and peat. Intensely floral, and again it is lavender and hints of violets.

Finish: Long and floral finish. Sugary sweetness all the way, with dried fruits and a hint of salt and pepper

Comment: A bit too floral for my taste. Frankly it feels a little unbalanced.
