This is the last release in the Edition Series from Macallan. I am sad to see this series go as there have been several really good bottlings in this series.

The following cask types have been used in making the Macallan Edition No. 6:

• 1st fill American oak Tevasa butts

• 1st fill European oak JMM hogsheads

• 1st fill European oak Tevasa butts and hogsheads

• 1st fill American oak Vasyma butts

• 2nd fill American and European butts

Nose: Lovely, delicate sherry nose. Mild, died fruits - figs, dates and apricots. Vanilla ice cream with rich fudge. With time richer and almost creamy on the nose.

Taste: Full bodied. The palate matches the nose closely., but not quite as creamy and not as sweet. In fact it is a bit dry in character

Finish: Medium long finish and then some. Loosens up and provides more fruit - dried and more fresh orchard fruits. Sweet on the finish.

Comment: Delightful! One of the better in the edition series, especially the nose.
