A standard Michter’s bourbon that has received a finish on lightly toasted American oak casks, rather than being fully matured in the charred American oak casks they normally use.

The Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon goes on sale on Monday at NOK 1299 (13799301).

Nose: Fine bourbon notes - rich corn sweetness. Creamy and rich. Warm and cosy. White pepper marshmallows. Coconut oil (Tropicana). Creamy caramel and warm notes of toasted oak.

Taste: Medium body. Dry-ish and peppery delivery. Vanilla and some menthol. Green grass and hints of tropical fruits.

Finish: Medium long finish. Remains peppery and prickly. Ginger and vanilla. Cinnamon and cardamom.
