Mosgaard Madeira Cask 166A, 5 YO, 56.1 %

This is a single cask release from Danish distillery Mosgaard Whisky. All I know about this bottling is that is has been matured in a single ex-Madeira cask (cask #166A), matured for 5 years, bottled on 2022-05-01 and limited to 200 bottles.

Nose: Spicy and fruity. Caramel and vanilla. The fruitiness is juicy and of the more tropical persuasion.

Taste: Full bodied. Spicy and full of attitude. Black and white pepper. The juicy fruitiness from the nose is even more apparent on the palate.

Finish: Short to medium finish. Deep, fruity and rich sweetness. Not very complex but the landing is comfortable and pleasant

Comment: Love the fruitiness!
