Myken Two Islands Chorus of Smoke

Myken Two Islands Chorus of Smoke, 4 YO, 47 %

Peated Myken newmake fully matured in two 40 litre ex-Islay casks. Filled in January and July 2018, and bottled April 2023. Check out the official product page for more nerdy details.

The Myken Two Islands Chorus of Smoke is still available to buy in Norway at NOK 1000 (15546802).

Nose: Mainly malt, complemented by the scent of red berries. A hint of wood smoke and toasted oak, along with a slight earthy smell, like a root cellar, and a touch of rhubarb.

Taste: Medium-bodied and rather dry. Black pepper, soot, and warm ashes, with a background note of orchard fruits.

Finish: Medium-long and dry. There's more black pepper, along with earthy flavors like cinnamon, nutmeg, and peanut shells. It's a bit dusty, and ends with a taste similar to 85% dark chocolate but with a smoky kick, like isot chili.

Comment: It's a bit unusual.

Score 84/100
