As far as I know this is the first and only official release of a single malt from Diageo owned Roseisle Distillery. This whisky has been matured in a combination of 1st fill and refill ex-bourbon casks, and is part of the Special Releases 2023 series from Diageo.

The Roseisle 12 YO - The Origami Kite is now finally available to buy in Norway at NOK 1700 (17035401).

Nose: Soft, welcoming, and well-rounded, showcasing the qualities of a fine bourbon cask matured whisky. Initial notes of orchard fruits and mild maltiness gradually give way to tropical fruitiness and creamy vanilla. Subtle hints of almond milk and cookies add to the complexity.

Taste: Full-bodied and intensely flavorful, offering a vibrant and fresh profile. Tropical fruits, apple, and pear dominate, complemented by vanilla and runny honey. A hint of coconut adds an exotic touch.

Finish: Medium to long, featuring rich and sweet fruitiness. Notes of a Snickers chocolate bar emerge, with rich chocolate, caramel, and peanut flavors, all topped with a drizzle of honey.

Comment: Very enjoyable!
