Smögen 2010 12 YO Jubilee

Smögen 2010 12 YO Jubilee, 58.5 %

A Smögen matured in a single cask (cask #2/2010), more specifically an ex-Bordeaux barrique. Distilled August 2010 and bottled August 2022. Limited to 365 bottles.

Nose: Earthy notes of wet leaves and freshly turned soil, reminiscent of nori seaweed. The distinctive "green" wood smoke of Smögen emerges quickly, accompanied by pine wood, creamy vanilla, and smoky marzipan.

Taste: Smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of soot, wood smoke, licorice, and rich ice cream. This is followed by additional notes of licorice and aniseed.

Finish: Medium to long, with a fruity, rich, and fairly sweet profile. The licorice remains ever-present, complemented by dirty wood smoke and more soot. Green notes of pine and cut grass linger.

Comment: I lurv it!
