Pointe Blanche Oloroso

I have no official info on this product from Ponte Blanche. They have no website that I have been able to find, so this is it folks. I do assume this is a variant on their standard Pointe Blanche whisky, with an added ex-Oloroso sherry cask finish.

I certainly expect to hear more from this distillery, because they do great stuff!

Nose: Soft and mellow notes of dried fruits, vanilla cream, assorted nuts, and mild spices. Over time, almond paste, hints of citrus, and toasted oak emerge.

Taste: Medium-bodied with a darker profile. Coffee and dark chocolate dominate, followed by hints of soot. The flavors then transition to hot chocolate, and finally, a swirl of orchard fruits and dried fruits.

Finish: Medium-long, featuring chocolate mousse topped with red berries. Creamy vanilla and hints of mint linger at the end.

Comment: Wow!
