Matured in four casks; an ex-sherry hogshead, an ex-sherry but, an ex-bourbon barrel and an ex-rum barrel. Limited to 2966 bottles (200 ml), available to Springbank Society Members only. Released Autumn 2021.

Nose: Dusty, sugary sweet and with lots of eucalyptus and menthol. This is old sh*t. With time tropical fruits and floral honey as well.

Taste: Full bodied yet it comes across as light and delicate at the same time. Same refinement as I picked up on the nose. Old oak, with hints of polish and lacquer. Bitter orange marmalade and dark chocolate with a pinch of pepper. Creamy vanilla and bitter-ish aniseed.

Finish: Long finish. Sweeter now - almost sugary, with a tiny side order of sea salt. Orchard fruits added to the mix. Ginger and white pepper. Menthol and eucalyptus again. Soft oakiness with a sprinkling of oaky dust.

Comment: A highly sophisticated dram!
