Tobermory 2005 12 YO Fino Sherry Finish, 55.1 %

Bottled 2018, limited to 1710 bottles.

Nose: Almonds, cinnamon and hints of pepper. Earthy and warm. An autumn whisky. Raisins, dates and something in the way of tropical fruits.

Taste: Full of body, wealth of richness. Vanilla and icing sugar. A light sweetness, which has a bitter-ish side note to it.

Finish: Medium long finish. Remains sweet all the way. Rather fruity, but also with mineral notes. Rosé pepper.

Comment: Clearly a Tobermory, and a very good one at that.
