This is another entry in Murray McDavid’s new series called Cask Craft. This particular one is a Tomatin in disguise. Finished in ex-Oloroso sherry hogsheads.

This whisky goes on sale in Norway this coming week at NOK 709 (15433901).

Nose: Shy and closed at first. Hints of leather and dried fruits. Vanilla with time. Cigar box. Orchard fruts in the background.

Taste: Medium body. Shy here as well. Then I get mild spices, and a rather nutty expression.

Finish: Medium long finish. More nuts and peanut butter! Caramel and a hint of pepper.

Comment: Fair enough.
