“The Renaissance Series 3 consists of 18 Year Old Single Malt that was aged initially in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in high quality, ex-Muscat wine casks, imparting hints of fresh apricot and mango with fresh citrus and apple notes, and a delicate soft finish. Limited to just 9,000 bottles, the resulting Single Malt is then bottled at 46% with no chill filtration.”

This product was bottled January 2021.

Nose: Ooh, delightful notes of exotic spices and juicy fruit juices. Tropical fruits in abundance - mango, pineapple, apricot and honey dew melon. A veritable cornucopia of tropicalness. With time also notes of milk chocolate.

Taste: Medium body. Again plenty of tropical fruits. White pepper and mild chocolate notes. Fizzy ginger.

Finish: Medium to long finish. Fruity and juicy. Home made custard. Mild caramel with a touch of toasted oak. Warming notes of pepper and green herbs in the end.

Comment: Exquisite!
