Here is the second expression from the Nordic Casks #2 series from Berry Bros & Rudd. This is a single malt whisky from Teerenpeli Distillery, Finland. It was distilled 2013, and has been matured in an ex-Oloroso hogshead (cask #13b). Limited to 217 bottles.

Available from Berry Bros & Rudd at GBP 160.

Nose: Dried fruits and green notes. Then sweeter notes of honey. Toasted oak, cinnamon and burnt caramel. So soft and pleasant with time.

Taste: Full bodied and dry in character. Again dried fruits - raisins and fig jam. Sweet and a little oaky. Gingerbread.

Finish: Medium long fin(n)ish. Honey with a spicy edge. Fizzy ginger. Big and flavorful all the way.

Comment: Intense dessert.
