A few years back Balvenie did a whole lot of these 12 year old single cask releases. All matyred in 1st fill ex-bourbon. This whisky was bottled 2021.

Nose: Warm, cozy, and sweet, with notes of creamy vanilla, almond milk, and ripe orchard fruit.

Taste: Full-bodied, sweet, and borderline dry. Flavors of white pepper, toasted oak, and a hint of mint. The creamy vanilla and sweet orchard fruit from the nose carry through to the palate.

Finish: Medium-long, featuring fresh maltiness mixed with light spiciness and sweet fruitiness. The finish has a slightly oaky character.

Comment: Fine, but not overwhelmingly so.
