Distilled 2011, bottled 2015. Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels and unspecified hogsheads. Limited to 5980 bottles.

Nose: Somewhat shy at first, with an autumnal style featuring wet leaves, cinnamon, and coconut. Rich and somewhat maritime wood smoke provides depth. Over time, earthy vanilla and fresh herbs emerge.

Taste: Very rich and full-bodied, remarkably drinkable at 62.5% ABV. Flavors of honey, dry wood smoke, cinnamon, and dried ginger create a harmonious blend.

Finish: Medium-long, becoming progressively drier. Wood smoke evolves into soot and cold ashes, yet retains a fruity character with assorted spices subtly in the background.

Comment: Mature well beyond its years. Wow!
