Eiktyrne Fransk Eik Countdown 1, NAS 49.8%

Matured almost entirely in French oak. This is the final countdown step leading up to the Eiktyrne Triple French Oak which I have previously reviewed.

Nose: Honey, caramel and leather. It feels sunny! With time chocolate and red berries .. and even a whiff of cinnamon.

Taste: Full bodied. An appealing combination of light spices and rich, sweet fruitiness.

Finish: Medium to short finish. A little darker, a little spicier, a little sweeter and a little more bitter. Dried fruits, creamy caramel and hints of green herbs in the end.

Comment: I like where this is headed.
