Maiden's Blend Cask #6 (Vintage Bottlers Ltd), 25 YO, 44.6%

Named after the three Robertson sisters that founded Edrington. This blended whisky was blended at birth on April 22 1999. It consists of single malt from Glenturret, Macallan and Highland Park (all Edrington owned distilleries), as well as grain whisky from North British. Matured in a single 1st fill sherry butt, and bottled November 1, 2024. Bottled at cask strength, and limited to 658 bottles.

Nose: Soft and mild, opening with delicate swirls of vanilla and caramel ice cream. Then, fresh strawberries emerge, followed by layers of dried fruits, hints of nuts, and subtle pencil shavings. A faint whiff of smoke lingers in the background.

Taste: Full-bodied, mild, and sweet, yet well-structured. White pepper and a touch of soot add depth, while caramel provides a rich and creamy foundation.

Finish: Long finish, maintaining its richness with sweet and fruity notes. The interplay of caramel, fruit, and a whisper of smoke leaves a lasting impression.

Comment: Elegant and well-rounded.
