Matured in a mix of American oak casks and ex-Ribera del Duero wine casks.

Made with 100 % Islay Barley from Lorgba Field, Octomore Farm. This is a vintage 2010 release, bottled November and December 2015. It clocks in at 169 ppm.

Nose: Light notes of strawberry and vanilla ice cream, under a thick veil of wood smoke. Then a wave a red berries and fruit cocktail. With time dunnage warehouse and wet leaves.

Taste: Full bodied and rather aggressive. Bitter-ish notes of rowanberries. Other berries as well, and a hint of citrus. Full on smoke and soot.

Finish: Medium to short finish. More of the slightly bitter notes of berries. Dark chocolate with black currant jam filling. Floral honey. Dry and fairly green finish.

Comment: Massiv and borderline overwhelming.
