Sall Whisky 2019 Inaugural Release

Sall Whisky 2019 Inaugural Release, 3 YO, 52.2 %

Here it is then, the very first single malt whisky release from Danish distillery Sall Whisky. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, and limited to 1295 bottles. Distilled 2019 and bottled 2022.

Nose: A soft embrace, emblematic of a high quality single malt aged to in an exemplary ex-bourbon barrel. Classic tones of vanilla meld harmoniously with tropical fruits, presenting a rock-solid profile.

Taste: Medium to full-bodied. Fruity nuances shadowed by an oaken backdrop. A touch of astringency plays on the palate, introducing an oaky spice through white pepper and a hint of nutmeg.

Finish: Medium to short finish. Its character is tinged with a dry essence. The finish is marked by a gentle oakiness, offering a refined closure.

Comment: A well-executed debut.
